Tim Salter

Registered Massage Therapist

Tim began healing over 25 years ago after receiving a Sports Therapy Diploma and a two-year H.N.D. in Science and Management of Health and Fitness while studying in England. He entered the fitness industry at Homes Place in Barbican, London – the largest gym in England at the time with 15,000 members. While there, he received training as an instructor in some of its many elite fitness programs.

Upon arriving in Canada, Tim decided to enter the construction trade with Habitat for Humanity. After a few years however, the physical demands of that space began to take a toll, and he decided to return to his true passion – pursuing a certification in Massage Therapy at Sutherland-Chan.

Following the completion of that course, Tim returned to England where he worked with Clinic 4 Sports in Chiswick, London covering events such as the London Triathlon (the biggest in the world). There, he treated the Prostate Cancer Team and the RideLondon 100, as well as members of the public up and professional Athletes.

Payam Ramesh

Registered Massage Therapist

Payam graduated as a Registered Massage Therapist in Vancouver. He moved abroad and received his bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. Payam returned to Canada and continues his practice as an RMT at MiBody Collective.

Along the way he picked courses to widen his horizon in understanding the human body, both self realization and becoming a better Therapist.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Joint Mobilization, Exercise Therapy, Fascial Mobilization, Passive stretch Therapy, Kinesio tapping, Swiss ball Therapeutic exercise, Intraoral work for TMJ injuries, just to name a few in order to become a better Therapist.

To become a better Therapist, one needs to work on oneself to become a stronger, better person as well. That in mind led him to the quest of self realization and becoming a Reiki master, Tai chi, Chi gong and yoga practitioner. An avid meditator, Picked Running, Swimming, biking and Tennis more seriously to the point that became a Tennis coach.

All of this led him to realize that what a multidimensional creation, humans are.

It's not that we are only working with the body, and it heals because of our focus on the physics. We are also affecting the mind, the Psyche, the soul along the way. These are all connected in us. As a therapist we are affecting all the dimensions, all the facets of a human being. By working the Physics, we are affecting the sacred temple of that person. What an honour and responsibility.

Laura Brossmann

Fitness Instructor, Indoor Cycle

Laura has been Spinning for fitness and training since its emergence in the mid-nineties. A self-described gym rat, she was hooked after trying it for the very first time. She became certified as an instructor about ten years ago, beginning what she calls, “one of the greatest pursuits of my life”.

Laura believes that music is what makes or breaks a Spin class. She devotes countless hours to crafting the perfect playlists for her classes, figuring out how to match music to movement. The music she chooses is designed to both move and motivate; new rock, old rock, grunge, alternative and classic rock, pop – her rule of thumb is if a song comes on the radio and she notices she’s speeding, that song immediately gets added to a Spin playlist.

Laura loves the people she teaches, and wants to know each and every one of them. Her goal is for every student to feel comfortable the first time they walk into her studio. She is there to guide them and work WITH them – sweating and swearing under her breath as they do. She loves watching people stumble out of class, wobbly legs and sweaty faces, with looks of hard-work satisfaction (the “We NAILED it!” feeling) on their faces.

Laura’s classes as hard, fun, and challenging, but not intimidating, “We huff and puff. We laugh. Not every day is your best day – I’m just happy to have you with me, moving your legs and digging the tunes.”

Clinical Somatics Instructor, Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist

I am passionate about helping people connect to their centers and build a strong and functional body to support them in their daily lives. I am a strong believer in movement as preventative medicine and aim to help people feel confident and foster resilience in their bodies as they age.

Decades of belly dancing, sitting at a potter’s wheel and 2 pregnancies left me with strong imbalances in my body, leading to chronic back, hip and pelvic floor issues. My body was twisted and sore...the more I exercised, the more twisted and tight I became. It wasn’t until I started working with my body at the level of the nervous system that I was really able to make lasting change away from imbalances and tension and into strength, integration and freedom of movement. My body had some learning to do and re-educating my nervous system with somatics was my teacher.

I teach Yoga Strong and Somatics classes and workshops online. I also work with clients one on one through Embodied Rehab, combining somatics and corrective exercise to help people uncover their movement blind spots, reduce their pain and tension, get stronger, and move more freely.
